Just be wary of possible flashback from flash photography however, I haven't seemed to run into this issue with modern foundation formulations like this one. I suppose if you're feeling particularly lazy or you forget your SPF, you will be covered by applying this foundation. I personally prefer foundations without SPF because, like most people, I use a separate SPF regardless. This foundation also contains SPF 50, which is very high for a foundation. I feel that they think we will be impressed with these "statistics" when they mean nothing! I really don't appreciate being treated like a fool! In this day and age, when consumers are educating themselves thoroughly before purchasing high ticket products, I feel that this marketing tactic is extremely foolish and embarrassing for such a big brand to partake in. I feel that they are marketing to their consumers like they are stupid and won't notice these bullshit claims. To me, this is a HUGE MARKETING FAIL! This coming from both a consumer standpoint and my professional opinion, as someone who works in that industry. These statistics aren't anything revolutionary, they don't encourage me to buy the foundation, and they make me extremely skeptical about the quality of this foundation. If they had actual legitimate claims about the foundation "improving skin" or "after one week, people noticed their skin was smoother and more supple", I would care about the statistics. These statistics prove the foundation isn't an actual "special formulation" because these are just made up some inflated statistics about nothing. Then they go on to say that AFTER ONE WEEK people noticed the breathable coverage and lightweight texture of the skin?! IT TAKES SOMEONE ONE WEEK to notice this?!!! If you don't notice the texture and the way a foundation feels on your skin immediately after application, I think you have some big problems.

The standard-cab pickup was produced with an 8-foot bed SuperCab and crew cabs were produced with a 6 3/4-foot bed, with an 8-foot bed optional. The SuperCab configuration of the Super Duty marked the introduction of two standard rear-hinged doors on the extended cab, a feature also adopted by the F-150 and Ranger/ Mazda B-Series for 1999. The Super Duty trucks were produced with three cab configurations-a two-door regular cab, 2+2 door SuperCab, and four-door crew cab. Prior to the release of the Super Duty series, the previous-generation F-250HD and F-350 carried over for 1997 (alongside a separate F-250 light duty based upon the tenth-generation F-150).īeginning production in January 1998 for the 1999 model year (1998 hiatus), the Ford F-Series Super Duty consisted of the F-250 pickup truck, F-350 pickup truck and chassis cab, and introduced the F-450 and F-550 chassis-cab trucks (see below). By expanding the model line into two separate but related platforms, the inevitable compromises inherent in offering a wide range of load-carrying capacities were avoided. To appeal towards commercial and fleet buyers and owners who tow, the F-250 and F-350 were developed as a separate, dedicated heavy-duty truck platform (in place of using one platform for all of its trucks). While still functioning as a full-size pickup, the F-150 adopted car-like aerodynamics and convenience features to expand its appeal among consumers. In response to the changing demographics of pickup truck buyers during the 1980s and 1990s, as part of the redesign of the F-Series for the 1997 model year, the model family began a split into two model families, introducing the 1997 Ford F-150 as the first of two distinct F-Series lines. In 1987, Ford revitalized the name as a Class 4 truck badged as the "F-Super Duty." Manufactured solely as a chassis-cab vehicle, it was slotted between the F-350 and F-600 at the time, and was offered either with a 7.5L gasoline V8 or a 7.3L diesel V8. Though its poor fuel economy proved uncompetitive against the increasing popularity of diesel engines, the durability of the Super Duty V8 kept the engine in production until 1981. Alongside the Ford C-Series and H-Series cabovers, the N-Series conventional adopted the Super Duty name. To showcase the engine launch, the "Big Job" conventional truck variants of the F-Series were rebranded as Super Duty, a name added to other Ford trucks as well. The largest-block V8 engines ever built by Ford Motor Company, the Super Duty engines were the largest mass-produced gasoline V8 engines in the world (for road-going vehicles). In 1958, Ford introduced the Super Duty engine family as big-block V8 engines for trucks, offered in 401, 477, and 534 cubic-inch displacements. Prior to 2016, medium-duty trucks were assembled in Mexico under the Blue Diamond Truck joint venture with Navistar International.īackground Previous use of name The Super Duty trucks and chassis-cabs are assembled at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky, and at Ohio Assembly in Avon Lake, Ohio. The Super Duty pickup truck also served as the basis for the Ford Excursion full-sized SUV. The model line also offers Ford Power Stroke V8 diesel engines as an option.įord also offers a medium-duty version of the F-Series (F-650 and F-750), which is sometimes branded as the Super Duty, but is another chassis variant. With a GVWR over 8,500 lb (3,900 kg), Super Duty pickups are Class 2 and 3 trucks, while chassis-cab trucks are offered in Classes 3, 4, 5, and 6. The heavier-duty chassis components allow for heavier payloads and towing capabilities. Rather than adapting the lighter-duty F-150 truck for heavier use, Super Duty trucks have been designed as a dedicated variant of the Ford F-Series. The F-250 through F-450 are offered as pickup trucks, while the F-350 through F-600 are offered as chassis cabs. Slotted above the consumer-oriented Ford F-150, the Super Duty trucks are an expansion of the Ford F-Series range, from F-250 to the F-600. The Ford Super Duty (also known as the Ford F-Series Super Duty) is a series of heavy-duty pickup trucks produced by the Ford Motor Company since the 1999 model year. AARP Illinois will continue – as it has always done – to fight on behalf of ratepayers who deserve to have their voices prioritized in utility rate decisions that will affect their quality of life. And I'll be home, in a little while, (instrumental). We commend the ICC for adopting our position and also answering the pleas of thousands of older adults, putting their needs ahead of corporate greed. Over the past year, we’ve heard from thousands of older adults, including 15,000 who signed AARP Illinois’ petition, about how this increase would harm them, forcing them to make impossible choices between heating their homes, buying groceries or paying for prescriptions. The excessive spending proposed, and once again requested, by Peoples Gas is a troubling display of corporate interests taking precedence over the needs and concerns of Chicago residents.Īs a formal intervenor on behalf of Illinois residents 50-plus, AARP Illinois has opposed the rate increases that benefited Peoples Gas’ bottom line on the backs of its customers from the beginning. AARP Illinois always supports safe, reliable and affordable energy delivery to customers, and we firmly uphold the ICC’s consideration of these factors in their analysis. We vehemently oppose Peoples Gas’ attempt to undermine the authority and thorough analysis of the ICC’s decision by trying to add an additional $134 million in spending. The ICC’s decision, which will save Peoples Gas customers millions of dollars on their utility bills, is a monumental win for utility customers, including older adults on fixed incomes who were already struggling to keep up with rising utility bills. “On behalf of our 1.7 million members and all older adults across the state, today AARP Illinois filed a response opposing Peoples Gas’ motion. With so many potential killers, police have struggled to narrow down the search. There are others who say the lack of investigation carried out may also have something to do with his track record. It was commonly believed McElroy’s murder was related to the large number of people in town he had harassed and violated over the years. All parties involved wanted to avoid hefty legal fees, so Trina settled for $17,600. McElroy’s wife, Trena, later sued for $6 million as part of a wrongful death lawsuit. So, the district attorney refused to press any kind of charges. No one came forward with information and the 46 witnesses interviewed offered little incriminating evidence. Likely because of McElroy’s reputation as a bully, no one called an ambulance. He was struck by bullets from at least two different firearms as he sat in his truck with his wife. When he was gunned down in front of a crowd of people, his death garnered international attention. Through the course of his life in small town Missouri, McElroy was convicted of assault, child molestation, statutory rape, arson, hog and cattle rustling and burglary. It’s when the stories are true that you may find yourself double-checking the front door looking under the bed. The killer then abandoned Martin’s body on the creekside. The killer reportedly tried to dismember her body and destroy it in the mill’s firebox, but was scared off by the mill’s owner who believed the killer to be a simple trespasser. An article published in 1999 claimed that Martin was tortured and murdered in a sawmill about 15 miles from where her body was found. Several witnesses reported seeing Martin climbing into a brown Plymouth or black sedan and driving off with a man. Countless suspects were called in and questioned, but no one was ever convicted. After this, she was never seen from again until a hunter discovered her body in the wilderness. It was reported that on the day she went missing, she met an unknown man who claimed to be offering her a secretarial job. On the day she went missing, Martin met a man who offered her a secretary position. On December 17, 1938, young Margaret Martin went missing and was found dead a few days later. Somewhere along the way, the autopsy report and the remains of “Bella” disappeared, adding yet another dimension of mystery to the case. Because the country was in the midst of World War II, identifying the body proved difficult. The forensic examiner found taffeta in her mouth which suggested she died of suffocation. The remains were deemed to have been of a 35-year-old woman, dead for 18 months, placing the time of death in October 1941. The remains of a hand were found a distance from the tree. When the police checked the tree, they discovered an almost complete skeleton with a shoe, gold wedding ring and fragmented clothing. Out of guilt, the youngest of the boys eventually caved, and told his parents what they found. Because they were on the land illegally, the boys decided not to report it. He quickly realized he had discovered a human skull. One climbed to the top, looked into the hollow trunk and discovered a skull. Ocey, who was married to her first cousin (and Mary’s son), Fletcher Snead, also left a significant life insurance policy behind.Who put Bella in the Wych Elm? On April 18, 1943, four local boys went poaching in Hagley Wood when they came across the large wych elm. After the suspicious drowning of Caroline’s daughter, Ocey, in a bathtub, police arrested the sisters. Despite a number of other mysterious "accidents" and happenings, it wasn’t until the women showed up in New Jersey in 1909 that authorities caught on. Just one week before, his mother and aunts had taken out a sizeable life insurance policy on him. During their time there, a number of mysterious events occurred, including the "disappearance" of an illegitimate baby birthed by one of the students and the death of Mary’s son, John, found burned to death in his bed. Her sisters, Caroline and Mary, were widows who helped the unmarried Virginian run the boarding school for girls. The sisters, called "the Black Sisters" because of their black clothing, came to Christiansburg around 1902, where Virginia Wardlaw ran the Montgomery Female Academy. Mary Snead, Caroline Martin, and Virginia Wardlaw may have committed their alleged crimes more than 100 years ago – but their legend and the mystery that surrounds them remains very much alive today.
